Honestly, I decided to make this sticker after reading the article in the NY Times of Magazine of Sept. 8th (online September 1st) called “America Must Free Itself from the Tyranny of the Penny”. An interesting read that lays out the case that has been being made for MANY DECADES that we should abolish the penny.

What’s one thing that over 90% of the US population, the countries of Canada, Australia and New Zealand can all agree on? Abolishing the penny! And in fact, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have actually done so DECADES ago! What are we waiting for America??!? Change is coming, and we can start with the penny!
