A personal Plea from Jon and Peter

Greetings Fellow Citizen,

No Kings. No Trump. No Silence.

This newsletter is being sent as an urgent personal plea from Jon and Peter for everyone to stand up now and speak out against Donald Trump! If you value democracy, and we hope that everyone who lives in this country does, then we must speak up and act to protect it!

When you have Jon's mother, who is 89, walks with a cane, refuses to use a walker or wheelchair, can't really walk more than 100 feet, saying you she would agree to go to a protest on the 18th, it's time to act! When Jon's mother in-law sends the following in email "I will remind everyone that I, we, have Slovene patriot relatives who were starved to death in an Italian fascist prison camp during World War II. The dangers are all too real." to a family group, it's time to act!

We know that the government shutdown is hurting people, but now is the time for the democrats to stand strong and not give in to the tyrannical threats of Donald Trump. To give in now is to understand that there may not be a chance to stand up in the future.

And now a personal story from Jon. I personally wore this "Human Being Against Donald Trump" shirt through the San Diego airport recently and can't tell you how many positive looks and comments I received. One guy approached me and my wife and said "I like your shirt, but I don't have the balls to wear it" (excuse my language for younger readers). I did get some nasty looks - but it was always from, no surprise, white guys. And for those of you who don't know me personally, I'm a tall white guy.
